Sylvie Macmillan is a craftswoman with a background in model making, set design and nail art for the fashion sector. She has now turned to homewares, continuing a project that started in 2021 creating candelabras using classic mosaicking techniques.
Avoiding the formulaic patterns used in traditional shell art, Macmillan’s work aims to display these beautiful, natural specimens in a way in which they may appear in nature. Taking inspirations from the sea beds themselves.
